Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Digitize.com.pk ("Digitize," "we") collects, why, and how it's handled. It's written to be accurate about what the platform actually does, not generic boilerplate — if anything here changes, we'll update this page and note the date above.

Information we collect

• Account information: email, username, and password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text).
• Profile information you choose to add: bio, location, website.
• Content you post: posts, comments, likes, follows, and any images you attach.
• Identity verification (KYC) documents: if you choose to verify your account, we temporarily process an image of your CNIC or passport and a selfie.
• Usage and referral data: points earned, referral link clicks and signups, and redemption history, used to run the rewards and earnings features.

How identity verification data is handled

This is the most sensitive data category on the platform, so it gets the most specific treatment:

• Your CNIC/passport and selfie images are uploaded directly to a private Cloudflare R2 storage bucket — they never pass through or get logged by our application servers.
• An automated process sends the images to Google's Gemini AI to extract your name, ID number, and date of birth, purely to pre-fill the review — it never makes the approval decision.
• A human reviewer checks the submission and either approves or rejects it.
• Once reviewed (approved or rejected), the raw images are permanently deleted from storage. Only the extracted text fields (name, ID number, date of birth) are kept, tied to your verification record.

Third parties we use

We rely on infrastructure providers to run the platform: Cloudflare (file storage), Google (Gemini AI, used only for KYC document extraction as described above), and our hosting and database providers. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security commitments — we don't sell your data to anyone, for advertising or any other purpose.

How we use your information

• Operating your account, authentication, and the social feed.
• Calculating and awarding points, tiers, and referral commissions.
• Verifying identity for the optional KYC badge and reward eligibility.
• Communicating with you about your account, submissions, or policy changes.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct inaccurate information, or request account deletion at any time by emailing privacy@digitize.com.pk. We'll respond within a reasonable time and confirm once deletion is complete.

Cookies

We use essential cookies only — specifically httpOnly authentication cookies needed to keep you signed in. We don't use tracking or advertising cookies.

Children

Digitize is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to how we handle your data, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
